Overview of our managed anti spam filter service with email archival

How our spam filter service handles your email

  • Email arrives at our filter network from remote systems
  • We check the remote system for vaildity before accepting the email.
  • The email is then analyzed by 11 different engines and scored.
  • Email is then stored for delivery to your system.
  • Email arrives at your site, without changes to your mail server.  There is nothing to install on your servers.
  • Users receive their mail like normal, but spam has been clearly tagged as such and may be moved to holding folders using local rules.

How our email archival service handles your email

  • Prior to filtration all emails are stored on disk in an unmodified format.  Each email is then signed to ensure it cannot be tampered with.
  • Filtration is then performed and the content of the email is indexed for rapid searching.  Default search is online through secure site.  Each DVD comes with a search application and index for the complete archive.  Online and offline archives are searchable.
  • Each email is then tagged with the scanner results for policy application.
  • Each email class my have a policy assigned to it.  So if you may retain email from certain domains for one time frame, and spam with another time frame.
  • DVD-R may be mailed monthly or when a certain archive size is reached
  • Outbound email may also be redirected through our servers, or BCC'd at your server to archive outbound mail also
